Video: our welder's cert, our procedure, your class file — full traceability in 60 seconds
The document trail a class file needs to accept a repair, walked through end to end. Everything a superintendent should insist on before mobilisation.

A short guide to the four documents a class-attended repair file should contain, and how we structure ours before the surveyor arrives on board.
1. Welder qualification
A current welder qualification certificate, matched to the process (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW), position, material and thickness of the actual joint. Filed by welder name and cross-referenced to the job number on the report.
2. Welding procedure
A WPS specifying the joint design, base material specification, filler classification, preheat, interpass, post-weld heat treatment if applicable, and passes. Backed by a PQR where required.
3. Consumable traceability
Brand, classification, batch number and date of the actual filler used. Photographed against the packaging before use. Batch number carried through to the final report.
4. NDT report
Method (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT as required), qualified operator, technique sheet, findings. Photos of any recordable indications and evidence of any repair-of-repair.
Why we walk through this on video
Because the difference between a fabricator and a contractor a class surveyor trusts is exactly this file. Every job we mobilise on has this pack ready before the crew boards. If your current contractor cannot produce it in an hour, you are already carrying schedule risk you have not priced in.
Message us for the actual video and we will send it — no gating. It runs 62 seconds.
